ITALO GULES

> AI Automation Specialist

I automate the boring so you can get on with the fun. Eleven years across software development, systems administration and technical leadership — now wiring local LLMs, agents and pipelines into systems that were never designed for them.

“Everything boring and repetitive should be automated. Everything fun and repetitive should not.”

01

$ cat ~/.philosophy

Everything  that  is  boring  and  repetitive  should  be  automated.  What  is  fun  and  repetitive  should  not.

operating principle #1
01 --fix-broken-things

Driven by challenges

I go looking for the systems everyone else gave up on. Broken pipelines, undocumented legacy, "we just do it manually" processes — that is the fun part. Especially when someone already failed at it.

02 --bridge-legacy-ai

Translator, not just a coder

Eleven years sitting between infrastructure, developers and the people who actually use the thing. I speak all three, so AI stops being a demo and starts being a workflow that survives Monday morning.

03 --no-mindless-repetition

Allergic to busywork

If a human does it twice the same way, it should be a script, a service or an agent. I would rather spend a day building the automation than a year performing the task.

Let's automate something

I'm hunting for interesting problems in Australia — the messy integrations, the processes nobody wants to own, the AI project that stalled at "cool demo". Send the ugly one.
